Satvir S. Gill

Satvir attended Simon Fraser University and studied finance and international business. With over 20 years in the investment industry, Satvir believes in goal based financial planning and bringing disciplined investment management solutions to his clients.

Passionate about his chosen profession, Satvir is dedicated to helping his clients achieve their investment and wealth management objectives. Honest and fair in all of his dealings, he seeks to make a positive contribution in the lives of those who turn to him for advice.

Having made a lifelong study of markets, business, and wealth creation, Satvir and his team have developed a comfort in dealing with his clients’ finances.  His multi-disciplinary competency encompasses economic, technical and fundamental analysis, especially experienced in advising retail, institutional and non-profit organizations.

Satvir has extensive knowledge not just of investments, but also of the challenges that confront business owners, entrepreneurs, board members and trustees.  Satvir serves as a close counsel to his fellow board members and directors of the organizations he has served on.  He recognizes that building and managing a business or organization can be all consuming. Accordingly, he is adept at helping leaders create wealth and liquidity outside the company they own or manage.

He is licensed as a Portfolio Manager, has earned his Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation – which among other things allows him to provide expertise in money management services to affluent individuals and institutional clients – and is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI). The FCSI designation is one of the most respected accreditations in the Canadian financial services industry. A Life Licensed Advisor, Satvir is also highly competent at crafting comprehensive insurance and estate planning solutions.

Satvir contributes considerable inter-personal skills to the client relationships that form the basis practice for The Gill Group.  Satvir is a valued source of counsel – engaged yet objective – in the financial and business lives of his clients.

Satvir has been, and continues to be, deeply involved in his local community. Privileged to call Abbotsford his home, he is a vested member of the community and frequently donates his time.  He is a Director of the Abbotsford Community Foundation and has worked with innumerable Abbotsford-based groups including the Economic Development Committee and Tourism Abbotsford. A resident of Abbotsford since 1994, Satvir is married to Aman, and they have two children. In his spare time, Satvir enjoys his hobby farm, meditating and working out.
